Michael Amburgey, CEO and Co-Founder of hiVolume Media Company dba karaoQ pitched our launch product along with 7 other CEOs as part of the Project Music Startup Showcase. Project Music is a 14-week music-tech accelerator that is the first of it’s kind here in the United States. Spurred by the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Project Music began accepting applications in 2014 and received over 100 applicants. The pool was narrowed down to 8 companies — enduring boot camp week, panels with music industry experts, classes on investment, plan and strategy, financials, licensing, and more.
All of it culminated in the Startup Showcase – a night of pitches, music, and industry recognition at the Country Music Hall of Fame in the CMA Theater. karaoQ was very well received by the audience – often met with laughter and applause – and ultimately positive feedback by local angel investors and VC interest outside of Nashville.
Photos from the event are below. Special thanks to all those that were a part of CMA, DevNY, Project Music, and the Nashville Entrepreneur Center to make it all happen!
